Where is the Sabine Condo Located?

The Sabine Downtown Austin Condos are located at the intersection of E. 5th St. and the small side street at 507 Sabine St. in the 78701 zip code, 1 block West of Interstate 35. The building is actually attached to the Hilton Garden Inn (that is where Sabine Residents park) by a walkway on the 2nd floor that is separated by Waller Creek. The Sabine is a converted office building which is now residential.

How much do the Sabine Condos cost?

The Sabine is priced really well for its location and upside potential. 1 Bedroom units start at $200,000 (no view) and range to above $500,000 for a 2 bedroom with a nice city view. A 700 sqft 1 bedroom with a good view will start around $250,000.

What kind of shopping and restaurants are around the Sabine Condos?

The Sabine is located on the Eastern outskirts of the 6th Street Entertainment district and falls right in the middle of a variety of restaurants. Within the immediate 5 blocks there are over 20 places to eat. A few of our favorites are Chez Nous, Carmelo’s, Koriente and Habanas. The nearest grocery is either Whole Foods (quick Dillo ride away) or one of the many HEB’s nearby.

    Update: The Sabine HOA settled their lawsuit with CWS and Sabine units are available for sale again. CWS has chosen to auction 27 units in the Sabine starting the bids at $85k. The Sabine on 5th Auction is scheduled for Feburary 28th, 2010.

    This is a great opportunity to enter the downtown market at a reasonable price point.
